FAQ
Do you have questions about the process? These are some of the most common questions that I get.
How do I ship my flowers?
Once you place an order I will provide you with information on how to safely ship your flowers to my shop. The process is simple and safe.
What if my flowers are already dry?
Yes, dried flowers are absolutely okay! I dry all flowers anyway, so feel free to send them as they are. Just make sure they’re packaged safely for shipping.
Can you use artificial or wooden flowers?
Absolutely! Wood and silk flowers are especially ideal because they tend to retain their color and shape far better than real flowers throughout the preservation process.
Is the epoxy food safe?
The epoxy I work with is certified as “Food Contact Safe,” which means it’s suitable for surfaces that may come into contact with food. However, epoxy can be damaged by knives, so I strongly advise against using it as a cutting surface. These items are intended as long-lasting display pieces to preserve your meaningful flowers for decades.
How do I care for my preservation?
Each preservation is finished with an epoxy flood coat that provides a long-lasting, low-maintenance surface. When used for serving food, the piece can be cleaned easily with warm water and mild dish soap. Dishwashers should NEVER be used, as the heat and detergents can damage the wood and epoxy. If the finish becomes cloudy over time, it can be polished to restore its clarity and shine.
